Real Estate Agent? 5 Crucial Pieces of Advice for Success

There is a reason that you are a real estate agent.

You want to have freedom in your work.  You don’t want to be tied down.  You want to have unlimited income potential.

Many people want to start a business. Few do it well. The following pieces of advice should help you achieve success.

1. More Massive, Imperfect Action

Everyone wants to be successful in real estate. Everyone wants to be their own boss. The problem is that real estate agents spend so much time talking about these things that they have very little time to actually do them. If you want to start a have a successful business for the long term, there is no time like the present.

If there is something that you want to do to streamline your business.  Youtube vids, blogging, podcasting. PPC, landing pages.  Do it.  Don’t think about it.  Don’t over analyze. Don’t worry if you don’t know all the details.

You never know what you can accomplish until you try. Get moving and then go from there.

2. Test The Results

My business approach is very action-oriented. I always want to know if my ideas are grounded in reality or not. And, if they aren’t, I like to figure out where I went wrong. Therefore, it is important to take a break from building every once in a while to test out what you are doing.

You do not need to invest so many resources into an idea before you even know if there is a market for it. By testing out what you are creating, you can move on or alter your plans if necessary.

The target will always be moving when it comes to your business and marketing.  Just expect that you will have to change and modify your approach from time to time.  You might even have to scrap an idea that doesn’t work.  It is just one idea to take off your list.

3. Spending Money Isn’t The Only Thing That Matters

It is easy to get caught up on spending money in your business. It is easy to think that if you just could spend more money, you could be that much more successful. However, that line of thinking is flawed.

If you have a good foundation to your real estate business, the money will come if you stayed focused on your business and continually remind your market of what you do.

4. Don’t Engage In The Hard Sell

Most people shut down when they hear a sales pitch. It is simply not engaging.

Instead, tell your story. Talk about why your working with you matters. Discuss what it can do for others. If you are good at telling a story, the sales will come. People will pick up on your enthusiasm and feel excited as well. Just be genuine when you speak, and you will capture the attention of others.

5. Get Things Done

It is easy to be busy without getting anything done. In fact, you probably talk to people every day that tell you how “busy” they are – but you can’t quite figure out what they are doing. Being productive means getting items checked off on your to-do list. That is important to anyone’s success.

Life gets busy. It is important to think about what you need to get done and schedule time in your day to accomplish those tasks. If you want to maximize your real estate business, use these tips to help you move forward.
